Zapier
Zapier connects to thousands of applications. If the tool you need has a Zapier app — most do — this is the route that needs no code and no server.
The pattern
FormDragon sends a webhook to Zapier; Zapier does the rest.
In Zapier, make a Zap whose trigger is Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook
Zapier gives you a URL. Copy it.
In FormDragon, add a webhook pointing at that URL
Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook. Paste the URL, tick the events you want
— usually submission.created, and submission.status_changed if only
approved records should go on — and save. Use Send test event so Zapier
sees a sample and learns the fields.
Build the action
Add the step for the tool you are reaching and map fields from the sample.
Record answers are under data › data › <field key>.
Filter if you need to
A webhook fires for every form. Add a Zapier Filter step on
data › form_id to keep only the form you mean.
The Zapier card
Settings → Integrations → Zapier shows a REST Hook endpoint for Zapier’s subscription model. The Catch Hook pattern above is simpler and works with any Zap; use the endpoint on the card if you are building a Zapier app for your own organisation.
Reaching Formstack Documents, Slack, email, Airtable…
All of these have Zapier apps. Formstack Documents is written up as a full recipe because it is the one people ask for most.
