Records assigned to you

A record can be assigned to you in two ways: somebody used a Send to field on it, or a manager assigned it from the record page on the web. Either way it appears on the Assigned tab.

What you can do with one

Open it, add to it, save it as a draft, or submit it. While a record is assigned to you and is a draft, submitted or has been returned for edits, you can edit it.

What you cannot do is approve it. Approving is a decision, and decisions are made by a manager in the review queue — see Approvals. Once a record is approved, it is closed to editing.

Handing it on again

Use the record’s Send to field to pass it to the next person, if the form has one. The original submitter can always hand a record on; a record you have been assigned can be handed on from the web by a manager.

Assigning from the web

A manager can assign any record from its page: Assign, choose a person, optionally add a note. The note is shown on their device with the record.
